Guide To Buying Rights To Someone Else's Product And Owning
It
The most common products sold over the internet are digital
products. Digital products are softwares, content articles,
ebooks, scripts, programming codes, or anything else that can
be downloaded easily by the intended buyer with just a few
clicks on the mouse.
These are the products that you can buy rights for as well.
When you buy the product's rights, then you become legally
licensed to do whatever was placed on the contract that you
went into with the product owners.
There are different product rights you can buy. And each one
of them corresponds to a certain pre-set agreement. Here the
six type of online product rights.
1. Reseller rights. When you had bought the reseller rights
of a certain product, that means you can vend these products
for a certain price all over the internet. After paying for the
presented price of the product, you can then start recovering
the amount you used to pay up for it by selling it to others
who are also interested. The contract may indicate the actual
price or the price range you can sell the product at. Else, you
can decide the amount yourself.
2. Master Resell Rights. Master resell rights is something
higher than the usual resell rights. If this is the type of a
product right that was given to you, what it means is that you
can both sell the product and its reseller rights to a
particular customer. Because the freedom of this right is
better, expect that the price of a master resell rights is
higher as well.
3. Giveaway rights. As the name suggest, the right only
allows you to give the product away. You can do it as a
complimentary gift or a teaser for customers to check out the
rest of your products. You are not allowed to sell or charge
even a few cents for the product. You are breaching the
contract if you do.
4. Rebranding Rights. If you are given rebranding rights,
then you can partially own the product as if it is yours. You
can change the affiliate links that are embedded in the
product, if there is any. With rebranding rights, you can
manipulate what was in the product as long as doing so is
provided for in the contract. Most of the time, the master
resell right, reseller right, and giveaway right come with
this.
5. Private Label Rights. When you want to purchase private
label rights, then you are basically allowed to own the product
you have obtained. You can do anything with it. You can call it
as your own as if you are the one who actually made it. You can
edit it as you desire. There's no stopping on what you can do,
provided it is legal and universally accepted. The private
label rights are usually tagged as the king of all types of
rights.
6. Private Label Reseller Rights. If the regular private
label right doesn't sound so good to you, then this one might
please you to the fullest degree. Private label reseller rights
give you the ability of not just to edit the whole content of
the product, but to sell it to other people as well. This is
the ultimate type of a product right there is. There are a lot
of people and companies providing for this right nowadays too.
So if you have the money to buy these, then you can very well
choose this option.
These are the different rights you can possibly obtain for a
product. If you intend to own the product you would like to
buy, you should make sure that the right you are buying have a
rebranding right at least. This right allows you to do
something that is allowed on the contract to make at least it
appear like yours. Although this right is not absolute, you can
start with it as it cost lesser than the private label rights
or the private label reseller rights.
But if what you really needed is complete freedom with the
product you are to buy, then the last two rights are the way to
go. You can totally alter the product with it in anyway that
suits all your requirements. Just be prepared for the price you
are going to pay. These rights may not come cheap.
